Lovely villa with excellent facilities. It has great view and a mix of lovely outdoor spaces.

The villa is well equipped and clean. The owners and local hosts are very attentive and communication is great/prompt.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Aljamar villa. The villa is very clean and well-kept. All the rooms are spacious and inviting. There is ample equipment and the towels are good quaility. It was great to have a garage to park in too.
The beds are also very comfortable and there is spare bedding if required. The pool is wonderful - spacious, clean
and secluded and the front patio has amazing views across Nerja and to the sea. There is lots of seating and the kitchen is a good size too. There are black out blinds which help with sleeping and air conditioning. Nerja is a very friendly town, with a relaxed feeling. It is not too expensive, compared with other holiday destinations and all our interactions with people were very positive and friendly. Nerja is quite busy at night, with a family atmosphere and a clubbing area for younger people.
The beach is also lovely, with many restaurants and bars. You can use chairs and a parasol provided in the garage; however, we hired loungers and a day bed on the beach, which wasn't too expensive - 6 euros each, for the whole day. They do get reserved, so reserve some too, if you need to, the night before, if you can. The beach is busy; however, not over crowded. There are bars and restaurants veey near to the villa too. We ate out mostly and the food was good, where ever we went. There
are steps up to the villa and a bit of a climb on the way back, but all adds to the experience! You couldn't really manage if you had mobility issues. The staff supporting the villa, Claire & Manuel, were very helpful, with a few minor issues, which were sorted promptly. As were the the managers. We would definitely return - it is a beautiful villa in a lovely, picturesque, lively town.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Nerja. Villa Aljamar is fabulous , we loved it. It’s very comfortable, exceptionally clean and spacious. We arrived late, so it was great that we had all the essentials like tea, coffee, bread, ham and water there for us. Thank you so much. The villa is very well equipped with every convenience needed to relax and enjoy. The private pool is a great addition too, our kids really loved having it outside the door. Great Villa in a good position 3 minutes walk from shops and bars. I would recommend paying to heat the pool as my Granddaughter spent most of the day in the pool she loved it . The Villa is very comfortable and it was a bonus that things like tea ,sugar ,foil ,clingfilm and salt and pepper were all there. Having all the English tv was a positive all in all I would highly recommend this Villa

We really enjoyed our stay in villa aljamar. It is truly a special and unique property - our family group of 5 ranged from aged 10 to 70 and everyone had a great time. The villa was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We loved the pool area and the many terraces and the peaceful setting in the hills. So rare to have a heated pool in Nerja and everyone loved it. The views are fantastic. We have been coming to Nerja for 20 years and this was the nicest house we have stayed in so far.
We had a car and would certainly advise having one, especially for a family for food shopping etc. Excellent Mercadona supermarket a short drive away. Burriana beach is a easy 5 minute walk but it is quite a steep hill on the way back. Nerja is about a 20 minute walk. There are quite a number of steps to the property, so may not suit those with mobility issues. We found the climb was worth it for the tranquility of the property and for the views. The small complex was very quiet. We loved visiting all of our favourite restaurants in Nerja again. There is also a lovely little cafe bar 2 minutes from the back gate of the property - very convenient.
The only issue we encountered was the hot tub was not working on arrival and it took several days for repair due to the Easter holidays. We did get 3 days of it when it was fixed and wow was it amazing watching the sunset there. Thank you Linda and Alan for welcoming us to your wonderful home.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Aljamar in Nerja, and it was an unforgettable experience. Wow what can I say. What a fantastic week we have had in this beautiful villa. The Villa is like home from home. The kitchen for a self catering holiday is exceptional, everything you need to cook and serve like you would at home. The views from the front terrace are stunning. We ate on the front both lunch time and evenings. And the beauty of this villa it has 3 different terraces so you can mix it up and get in or out of the sun when needed. We spent many an evening on the front terrace playing cards with a vino. The pool area is so relaxing and the pool was used daily. Hot tub is a great bonus and great for an evening watching the sun set. Great addition of tv channels. The villa was exceptionally clean and when we needed the aircon and tv sorted , Chris was there within the hour to help us. I was worried as we have never booked a holiday via booking.com for a stay abroad but I can honestly stay the Communication from Chris was fantastic from the moment we booked to the end of our stay. Transport was arranged via Chris and it is highly recommended. I would definitely recommend the welcome pack, so well thought out, and everything you need to start your holiday off.
Beach a short walk away and Balcon easy to get to within 20 minutes. Would highly recommend the Argentian restaurant at the bottom of the hill. Great food and friendly service. The only downside was the hill to walk back up. But that is out of control of Linda and Alan and if you want stunning views then you that is expected. It will be hard to find a villa that beats this one. If we ever come back to Nerja then we would love to stay here again.

Great 3 bed villa with 3 amazing outside areas, and equally comfortable inside accommodation. The pictures undersell the sea view which was lovely. The kitchen is well equipped and the TV channels are ample, includung Netflix and Sky. If Nerja wasnt so amazing, we may not have left the villa. The hill is not suitable if you have mobility issues but this would apply to a
lot of Nerja properties. Hosts were super helpful and prompt with enquiries and teething problems. Overall great value for money and would definitely stay here again.

We are a family group of 7. Granny and Granpa(me) our two daughters, one son in law and two grand kids (8yrs and a newbie at 4mnths). Quite an age range but from the moment the group moved in we felt totally at home. Granted the information supplied in the lead up and the help from Claire who was there to meet us, helped enormously. I think however it was the welcoming ambience of the villa which touched everybody. Clean, tidy, spacious, quiet.
The facilities are first class, obviously cherished, well maintained and looked after. We took full advantage of good sized pool, spa, various relaxation areas for in sun and shaded lounging plus a large indoor seating area with tv as an alternative. We ate out on 3 nights and in on 4. The kitchen is so well stocked with every appliance and utensil that the meal preparation was so easy and stress free. Good beds and quiet air-con meant a great sleep and pretty much wrapped up the package.
We had hired a car for ease of transport to and from Malaga. However due to the excellent location it was only used once for a trip up to Frigliana. The beach is very close, Nerja centre is a 20 minute walk using a variety of routes and the local supermarket is a 10 minute walk.
All in all a wonderful property which provided a weeks worth of brilliant memories which will be recounted for many years to come.

Had a brilliant family holiday at Villa Aljamar, the age range of our party was 6 years to almost 60 years, we all loved this villa, my two Grandsons were delighted with the pool area, there was a great mixture of sunny and shaded areas around the pool, which meant everyone was catered for and could enjoy watching the boys play. Having full Sky tv was also a bonus for the boys as they could watch some of their favourite programmes when a break from the sun was needed. The views from the terrace at the front of the villa were absolutely stunning, a great place to watch beautiful sunsets with a glass or two of the local wine. Myself and husband had the downstairs en suite bedroom which gave the whole of the upstairs to our Daughter, Son in law and Grandsons this worked perfectly for our family.
It was our first time visiting Nerja, we all loved it, Burriana Beach is only a 5 minute walk down a very steep hill (10 minutes to walk back up it!) and Nerja itself only a 20 minute walk away. Claire met us on arrival and was very welcoming, she gave us lots of useful information and was only a phone call away when we had trouble booking a taxi, Claire came to our rescue and sorted out a taxi for us. I would highly recommend this beautiful villa it has everything you could possibly need and more!

A++ for facilities, location, comfort and style. We have stayed here several times and still our favourite villa for several reasons. Location is fantastic as a stones throw from Burriana Beach and an easy walk to the Balcón. The villa is amazingly spacious with lots of beautiful outdoor space where you can enjoy both shade and sunshine. The pool is a wonderful size and very private. The area is lovely and quiet so you instantly relax. The views from the front balcony is magnificent looking out to the sea and back over to the mountains behind. The villa itself has 3 wonderful sized bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds and two bathrooms. The villa also has full sky tv available and great WiFi which is a rare find in Nerja. The management team of Chris and Ann are just fabulous to deal with and incredibly helpful. Owners Linda and Alan take great pride in their level of hospitality and obviously do their utmost to ensure their guests have a wonderful and memorable stay. Will definitely be returning again and again.

Had a great family stay at Aljamar Villa from 27th July to 3rd August. Weather was hot, almost too hot at times! But the pool was a great break away from the heat. View from the terrace at the front of the villa was stunning, with the beach one way and the mountains in the other direction. The villa had everything we wanted and needed, and the hot tub was a perfect addition. The only warning I would provide is that it’s a steep walk back up from the beach to the villa….. a ski lift wouldn’t go amiss! But to get great views like this what do you expect! Wou look definately recommend and go back again. Many thanks.

My Partner, 2 adult Children and Partners plus 9th month old Grandson have just spent a fabulous week at Villa Aljamar. The accommodation was spacious, the 3 terraces were all lovely, breakfasting in morning, the pool terrace all dayand the top terrace with hot tub at night if desired. The beach, shops and good restaurants were all within walking distance, the return walk is hard but we did use a taxi a few times! All in all a wonderful holiday just wish we could have stayed for longer!!

My husband and I enjoyed our recent stay at this villa. We could not fault the villa at all it was very much home from home with great facilities. The pool and outside spaces were just lovely, nice sunny and shaded places by the pool which we had heated and it was so comfortable. The hot tub was great but could do to be heated a little higher i.e. body temp 37 degrees. Great views from the front terrace of Nerja by day and night. Our one main negative was the steepness of the hill coming up from Burriana beach and the 60+ steps from the road to the villa itself, it is not for the faint hearted and if you have any mobility issues this hill is not for you. Unfortunately as well their was a large building site at the rear of the villa which was very noisy during the day but we realise that this was out of Chris and Ann's control. Visit to the caves and Frigliana are a must during your stay. The local taxi service was great and not expensive as we didn't have a car but we would recommend one. All in all this villa is lovely and Nerja was a nice walk 20-30 mins. Thank you again for lovely stay.

Our family of 6 adults (3 couples) really enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa with private pool in Nerja. It has great outside spaces which had both sun and shade. The villa was as shown in the photos and very well equipped ... including inflatables and toys for the pool! The villa is situated a 10 minute walk up quite a steep hill from Burriana Beach with 64 steps up from the road which was fine for us and gave great views but may not suit families with very young children or elderly. Supermarket within easy walking distance as was the Balcon de Europe ... a great place to stroll to and enjoy the atmosphere and views. We used the local recommended taxi to visit the Nerja Caves and Nerja River walk (Rio Chillar) ... well worth a visit.
All in all, a fantastic holiday!

This was our 9th visit to Nerja but first time at Villa Aljamar. What a fabulous villa. It was very comfortable felt like home from home from the moment we arrived. Chris and Ann were helpful on arrival letting us leave our bags early. We found the villa very well equipped with everthing we needed. Perfect villa for meeting up with our family after 5 years of not being altogether. The villa was large enough with plenty of room for personal space to relax and unwind. We had the pool heated and it was well worth it as it was used by all every day, even hubby who is not a fan of swimming. We all loved the hot tub, and the fabulous view from the terrace of Nerja and surrounding hills, especially on New Year's Eve watching the fireworks.The villa is ideally placed not too far from supermarkets, the Burriana beach 5mins away and old town is about 20min walk. Recomend Pahuna restaurant and El Fuegos for great atmosphere and welcome. Thanks for letting us stay in Villa Aljamar we had a fantastic
family holiday we did not want to come home. Will definitely come back.

This was our first villa rental & visit to Nerje to celebrate a big birthday, what a wonderful experience. Aljamar Villa was everything we could have wished for, we felt comfortable & at home immediately, there was everything we could possibly need. The pool & hot tub were a great hit when the grandchildren came & such a lovely experience to watch the sunset from the terrace.
As mentioned by others the hill was a bit of a challenge but fortunately we had a car & we always found a space. Super garage under property which was a big bonus too. Only one small suggestion & that would be a mosquito screen on bathroom windows. Would certainly return to this villa, the quiet position, size & condition are to be recommended. Chris & Ann did a great job & were quick to respond to any queries or questions. Our thanks to Alan & Linda for sharing their property with us.

Great villa for our family of 4. Hot tub terrace was lovely first thing in the morning, the pool area was great which enjoys the sun pretty much all day and the sun sets on the front terrace with the dining table and sofa where you can enjoy the views of Nerja. All the amenities you will ever need are in the villa and there is a great supermarket 15 minutes walk away. Great communication with Chris and Ann.

Everything and more than you need for a villa stay. The villa was spacious, clean and well-maintained. Our party of 4 adults and 2 children enjoyed the pool area every day and taking our lunch on the front terrace with the lovely views over Nerja. The complex was quiet and peaceful.
There is a STEEP hill from Burriana Beach and quite a few steps up to the villa, therefore I would not recommend for those who have difficulty walking.
Great communication with the owners throughout and would highly recommend it.
Loved Nerja, loved Frigliana, loved Burriana Villas.

Beautiful duplex apartment with three beautiful terraces. So amazing to have our own pool and we really appreciated the shade provided by the pool during our hot hot week.

Beds super comfy and very well equipped.

Recommend a car if you can, and there’s plenty of parking. Don’t forget to let them know if you want the spa in advance and remember that Nerja has hills and steps in most of its villa locations!

We have just returned from a week staying at Villa Aljamar, family of 6 adults and a 2 year old toddler. What can I say, the villa is outstanding, absolutely perfect. Very comfortable and beautiful surroundings. The complex the villa is situated in also gorgeous and very quiet. We particularly enjoyed the pool, hot tub and star gazing on the terrace late in the evenings. Half of the party were older and did struggle with the steep hill up to the villa but we used taxi’s which were no more than 8 euros. Chris & Ann were amazing hosts and on hand to help, lots of information also provided in a binder in the villa which was very useful. Highly recommend for those looking for a comfortable home from home.

We first saw the villa 3/4 years ago with the intension to stay however as a result of Covid we had to cancel our booking three times.
The owners Linda and Alan were fully understanding and despite the terms and conditions they had no hesitation or delay in returning our deposits, their consideration and integrity has to be acknowledged and admired.
This experience demonstrates that others can book with complete confidence.

We stay in this type of accommodation regularly around the world, the managers Chris and Ann were I can only say at the very peak of their game.
Nothing was left to chance to start to finish and they made it clear they were always there if needed, not that they were though, everything was taken care of from beginning to end.

In regard to the Villa itself fabulous, cant fault it, everything you need and want.
Whilst on a complex it is quite and tranquil.
It is not akin to a boutique hotel but a typical family home in the wonderful surroundings of Nerja.
It has everything you want and more.

The only one drawback is its location, walking down the hill to the beach is easy, walking back up though is a different matter, phew.
Most people would not find this a problem but people who finds hills difficult might.

Anyone reading this review might think its too good to be true but rest assured it is given without any influence and as a genuine and honest appraisal of our stay.

We stayed in the beautiful Villa Aljamar in March 2023 and we enjoyed every moment. It was our first-time visiting Nerja and we could not have found a better property or location to relax and explore. The standard of the Villa exceeded our expectations and the amenities were first-class, the pool being our particular favorite. The property managers were excellent and always available for anything we needed. We plan to return to Nerja in the future and I already know where we will be staying.

Can't fault Villa Aljamar at all - it's a very well equipped and maintained villa, the layout was perfect for our family of five and the pool area is the real highlight. It is perfectly located for those wanting to enjoy both the Burriana Beach area and venturing into the old town. The TV had all free and paid UK channels, and there were plenty of inflatables to entertain the kids in the pool. This was our 2nd visit to Nerja and we will definitely be returning, with Villa Aljamar our first choice when we do.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in this beautiful villa. It was home from home and everything was so comfortable, the beds, furniture and well equipped kitchen. We loved the heated pool and hot tub and the convenience of having a secure garage for our hire car. A bonus was the town bus which went from outside the back gate meant we could go down into the centre of Nerja for an early evening dinner and return on the last bus from Riu Monica at 9p.m to enjoy a few late evening drinks on the balcony. The villa is in a very quiet area so we slept soundly no motorbikes or scooter noise which was great. Everything about this villa is exactly what we want on our frequent trips to Nerja and we will definitely be back next year, unfortunately it is not available for our next trip in September otherwise we would be booking it again. The entire process with Chris and Ann was terrific and were available if needed and everything organised so smoothly. We are very pleased that we were offered the opportunity to stay in such a lovely villa thank you to the owners, we checked out some the restaurants recommended and had dinner 3 times in Bruxelles at Burriana beach which was fabulous. Looking forward to returning next year.

Yet another wonderful holiday, at Villa Aljamar, in February 2023. After a gap of a few years due to Covid, it was fantastic to return to this amazing property for our fifth visit. I can honestly say it felt like we were coming home.
Everything was as we remembered it but with some new additions, it was great fun working out what had been changed! As always, Chris and Ann ensured our stay went smoothly, available at the end of the phone if needed.
A quick walk down ‘cardiac hill’ to Burriana beach is always a pleasure, Ayo’s is a must on a Sunday, and it’s only a quick trip up the zig-zag path into Nerja itself.
Villa Aljamar is a great place to relax and unwind, incredible well equipped for a family holiday. The kids loved going in the hot-tub and with so much outdoor space it is easy to follow the sun. The views from the terrace are amazing, starting with the Mediterranean on your left, Nerja town in front of you and finally the mountains to your right. How can you not love it!
We are already looking forward to another visit.

We had an excellent week in Aljamar villa. Communication from Chris and Ann was excellent and they were on hand to facilitate what we needed. The villa is in an excellent location, close to the beach but with lovely views. We appreciated the use of the heated pool and jacuzzi, which meant we could spend lots of time in the water, even in January. The villa was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the use of the various terraces for sitting out. We would definitely recommend it and consider going back.

This is our fifth visit to Villa Aljamar since 2008 .It has lost none of its charm.
Well furnished and a large screen with all the UK channels. The main bedroom of the three available has a lovely spacious shower. Always being maintained and improved.This year the new additional seating on the front terrace is very comfortable. The management of Chris and Ann was superb in organising a new replacement dishwasher that was delivered and installed on the Tuesday morning of the Feria long weekend. If we could only flatten the hill back from the beach that is getting steeper with the passing years. A rear view car camera can be very useful for the garage parking which has an electric door. It is such a perfect venue with a very private pool and nice views from the Hot Tub. The pool and marble staircase is perhaps not suitable for younger children.
